The University of Oxford is a world leader in Immunology. The Departments leading this new MSc course were ranked 5* in the last RAE. This course presents Immunology within the broader context of Science and Medicine. Both basic and applied aspects of Immunology will be explored and integrated with key areas of other scientific and clinical disciplines. The course consists of:

one-year, full-time course

two ‘core’ taught terms

14 week laboratory based research project
The central aim is to encourage immunological scientists to relate to the clinical interface, and for clinicians to understand the scientific principles underlying this field. It will be of value to those who plan a career in academic or clinical immunology, or in the immuno-pharmacological sector.
The Course Directors are Professor Jonathan M Austyn, Professor of Immunobiology, and Professor Helen Chapel, Professor of Clinical Immunology.
